Color Me Awed

Ah, I’m so excited! These have been some terribly exciting couple hours. First I had to tell everyone in my phone book (on my phone guys, geez) about how much I love Tumblr. Bit of a beginner-blogger-freakout. And.. well then I had to do some not so exciting things, like start a paper on photochemical reactions and go to history class.
But now I’m back! And after much deliberation, I have chosen this to be my first photo. I didn’t want my first photo to be about something I’ve recently been into, and so I decided to go classic.
I first saw this picture when I was in my piano teacher’s house when I was about 13, twirling about in her office chair watching her beautiful screensaver go from picture to picture of flowers and scenic places from her native country, the U.S.A. When this picture came on the screen I’m pretty sure I literally gasped. I decided then that I wanted to live in this place. Maybe build a little log cabin or something. Problem was, I had no idea where it was! And I made the mistake of touching her mouse and making it disappear. It took a couple hours of searching the internet to find the same picture, but eventually I discovered that it was a view of the Grand Teton in Washington. The state! I know, who knew anything existed there!
Anyways. I still want to go there sometime. College road trip maybe? So enjoy. I know it’s kind of hard to be stunned nowadays, even with the most incredibly magnificent things in the world, since pictures are always just a few clicks away. But I hope that you give this one the chance to take your breath away! (pardon the cliche)
P.S. I’m all for giving credit for photos, but this is such a popular image that I couldn’t find the original photographer. So sorry to whoever you are!
